2015-16 – Welcome Lassiter Laxers!!!
Below are some main points for what we have going on and pertinent, current info/needs. (This is a
follow-up to the 2015-16 player interest meeting.)
1) Fall Ball Registration
If you are playing fall lacrosse this year, please register online as soon as possible. We need
Games will be held on Sundays starting on 9/13 and running through 11/8. This should allow
We plan on practicing one night per week but have run into difficulty obtaining a field to use
to get numbers so as to determine # of teams and to also get started on the schedule.
You can go to our lacrosse website www.lassiterlacrosse.com to register. Click on the “Fall
Lax (ECFL)” tab and then the “Lassiter Team” tab. Once there, all Lassiter players can register
through the Lassiter Players registration located near the bottom of the page (scroll down).
Make sure it is the registration for Lassiter players and not the “Waiver” for visiting players.
one bye week and 8 games, minimum.
(football has the complex locked up each night and Mabry is being sodded). I believe
McCleskey is available on Friday evenings but we are trying to find a better
solution/alternative. We will update as we learn more.
Coaches this year will be Alumni from years past.
FYI – All players will be expected to help out with the managers tables during a non-LHS
game. Please contact Ashley Reid about scheduling a “volunteer” time/spot.

3) Goal Stringing
We need help stringing goals after school this Wednesday (8/19)! We have about 6 goals
that need strung and need to do them all Wed. We can work most efficiently with about 4
kids on a goal which means we need at least 24 kids!
I will buy pizza for everyone that comes to help!
4) Spring Game Schedule
The 2016 game schedule is attached. There may be one or two changes down the road but
for the most part it is done. Please mark your calendars appropriately. Any updates that
happen will be relayed as soon as they are confirmed.
5) Winter and Spring Breaks
Please note that we play a JV and V game the Saturday at the back end of winter break
Spring break will be treated the same as it has been in the past. Our last game before spring
(2/20)! We plan on practicing through winter break! Please do not plan time away for our
players. The team needs them to practice, and we will need the time to hone their skills and
get them prepared for games!!!
break is March 31st. We will not practice Friday, 4/1, and the kids have off until the following
Friday, 4/8. We will practice Friday, 4/8 from 6-8. We will also practice Saturday and plan to
play paintball as well (JV and V). Saturday practice time will be dependent on whether we
play paintball in the morning or afternoon. We will update once we know.
6) Fall 7v7 Tournament
If anyone is interested in playing 7v7 or another tournament this fall please let me know. I
am asking anyone interested to look up the tournament you would like to do and to ask
your friends to get a “base” set of players. If you bring me the info and the start of a team, I
will help round it out and get you registered. You will still all need to split the cost of it but
we do have some money budgeted for a 7v7 team or two (however many we do we can
figure out what it costs and what’s budgeted and go from there).
7) Box Lacrosse
We are trying to set up times to play indoor in the auxiliary gym. This was originally slated
If interested (for fall or winter) please contact Will McAllister as he is spear-heading the box
